Public Health is a department which is associated with
every citizen of the state, the development of the state is directly
influenced by the health of the public, so better health facilities should
be provided to the public. Public Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr.
Prabhuram Choudhary said this in a review meeting of the departmental
schemes. Minister Dr. Choudhary held a detailed discussion on the current
status of Corona infection.
He said that the facilities
being provided by the department to the Corona patients should be widely
publicized. Common people must know about fever clinics. Immediate treatment
should be provided by tracing the Corona infected at the primary stage.
Health Minister Dr. Choudhary
said that the treatment and facilities being provided to the patients in
dedicated Covid Centres must be monitored. Covid patients should be provided
with better health facilities.He said that arrangement of psychologists
should be made at Covid Centres so that they can connect patients with
stress management, positive thinking and mental peace. Health Minister said
that pulse oxymeter and temperature guns should also be made available to
ASHA workers. Precautions must be strictly followed to avoid Corona
infection.
Officials informed in the
meeting that ICUs with 10 beds in each district hospital and 20 beds in all
divisions will be ready by the end of this month. Tracing of primary stage
Corona infected people was carried out through door-to-door surveys under
the Kill Corona campaign. Fever clinics have been opened so that the primary
symptoms of Corona can be detected immediately. In the past, 4 thousand 592
beds were available in the state, which have been increased to 7 thousand
293.
Children
born at home should be vaccinated on priority
Minister Dr. Choudhary also
conducted a detailed review of other serious health issues other than
Corona. He said that the number of institutional deliveries have come down
during the lockdown. Therefore, children born at home should be vaccinated
on priority.
Control
of vector borne diseases
Minister Dr. Choudhary said
that the work of controlling vector borne diseases (due to mosquito bites)
during rainy season should also be carried out seriously. To prevent
diseases like malaria, dengue, spraying of pesticides, distribution of
medicated mosquito nets, awareness campaigns should be launched on a large
scale to prevent diseases.
Helpdesk
should be set up in all district hospitals
The Health Minister instructed
to set up help desks in all the district hospitals, so people do not have to
wander around to seek information about availability of services for the
common man.
He said that facilities of
dialysis, CT scan, X-ray etc. should be made available to the common people
in all district hospitals. Minister Dr. Choudhary reviewed National Rabies
Control, Mukhyamantri Sushen Yojana, Ayushman Yojana, food given to
patients, security, cleanliness in hospitals, biomedical waste, National
Urban Health Mission and Health and Wellness Center etc. He said that I will
hold a review meeting every Monday. All the works must be done promptly.
