Directives of Mukhyamantri Shramik Seva (Prasuti Sahayta) Scheme 2018 issued

Directives in connection to the Mukhyamantri Shramik Seva (Prasuti Sahayta) Scheme -2018 have been issued by the state government. This scheme has come into effect from April 1, 20187 for registered women labourers of unorganized sector in all the rural and urban areas of the state. Monetary loss of registered women labourers of the unorganised sector will be compensated during their absence from the work at the time of delivery.

The scheme has been introduced with an objective to identify high risk factors during the pregnancy, safe delivery, vaccination of pregnant women and after the child birth, cash incentive amount for women and child health and to create a favourable atmosphere for women labourers. An amount of Rs. 16 thousand will be paid in two installments under the scheme. The first installment of Rs. 4 thousand will be paid during the pregnancy in the last 3 months of the prescribed period, after 4 pre-delivery tests conducted by doctor or ANM. The second installment of Rs. 12 thousand will be paid after delivery in government hospital, getting the institutional birth registration of infant and after zero dose, VCG, OPD and HBV vaccination of infant.

Eligible beneficiaries of Janni Suraksha Yojana of the Union Government being implemented in the state will also get benefit of this scheme. An amount of Rs. 3 thousand in the form of first and second installment will be paid under the Pradhanmantri Matra Vandana Yojana to the eligible beneficiaries on their first pregnancy. The remaining amount of Rs. One thousand will be paid to beneficiary from the Mukhyamantri Shramik Seva Prasuti Sahayta Yojana. On second pregnancy, full amount of the first installment i.e. Rs. 4 thousand will be paid from the Mukhyamantri Shramik Seva (Prasuti Sahayta) Yojana itself. Women with first pregnancy can receive an amount of Rs. Two thousand of third installment after completing the first vaccination cycle of infant within the prescribed period under the Pradhanmantri Matra Vandana Yojana.

Benefit of the scheme will be given to pregnant women over 18 years of age and to registered women labourers of unorganized sector. Financial assistance under the Prasuti Sahayta will be given for deliveries in government hospitals and for maximum two live births. Beneficiary will have to present registration card of women labourer of unorganized sector or registration number, certificate of delivery in government health institution, certificate issued by ANM for two live births, mother and infant suraksha card, copy of aadhaar card and a copy of aadhaar linked bank passbook. Amount of beneficiaries will be deposited in the bank accounts linked with the aadhaar card.
