All the Primary Health
Centres and Urban Primary Health Centres/Civil Dispensaries will be
developed as Health and Wellness Centres in 25 districts of Madhya Pradesh
this year. These centres will be called Madhya Pradesh ‘Arogyam’ (Health and
Wellness Centre). In the remaining districts, Health and Wellness Centres
will be developed next year. Process to develop Sub-Health Centres will be
continued continuously.
The State while moving
ahead on the concept of Comprehensive Primary Health Care based on ‘Hub and
Spokes’ Model has decided that first the Primary Health Centres should be
made effective Referral Centres, where all the 12 kinds of identified
services should be made available. The state has priority to provide tests
and primary medical treatment for diabetes, hypertension, heart ailments,
and cancer along with other services at these centres. Ayush medical
treatment services are also being provided in PHC-Health and Welfare centres
in Madhya Pradesh.
Currently, 25 districts
of the state i.e. Rajgarh, Sehore, Betul, Raisen, Vidisha, Ashoknagar, Bhind,
Guna, Sheopur, Badwani, Khandwa, Dewas Ujjain, Dindori, Balaghat, Chhindwara,
Jabalpur, Seoni, Shahdol, Satna, Anuppur, Singruali, Chhattarpur, Damoh and
Panna have been included. Initially primary health centre wise gap
assessment analysis has been conducted and accordingly availability of human
resources is being ensured.
A work plan related to
training of issues concerning important human resources like medical
officers, staff nurses, ANM and ASHA has been chalked out. Constant advise
will be provided for technical support to some Health and Wellness Centres
of Vidisha district by the Akhil Bhartiya Ayurvigyan Sansthan, Bhopal. At
the initial stage, State has a plan to begin these centres by upgrading 51
Primary Health Centres into Health and Wellness Centres from this month
itself. |
