14 Ayurveda PG courses to be in Pt Khushilal Sharma Sansthan

Ayush minister Shri Rustam Singh inaugurates two-day Ksharsutra workshop

The process is underway to run 14 Post-Graduation Courses in Ayurveda in the future in Pt Khushilal Sharma Government (autonomous) Ayurveda College, which is going to be the best Ayurveda college in India. At present, seven courses are being run here. Sanction for two more courses and research laboratory from the central government is in the process. Ayush, Public Health and Family Welfare Minister Shri Rustam Singh gave this information while inaugurating two-day Ksharsutra therapy workshop in the institute.

Shri Singh said that sufficient fund will be provided for auditorium and lab construction. Member of Parliament Shri Alok Sanjar was present. Subject experts from BHU, Varanasi, Jaipur, AIIMS are participating in the workshop.

Calling upon Ayurveda students to take resolution for practicing only Ayurveda, Shri Singh said those patients, who could not be cured by Allopathic practitioners, were seen adopting the world's ancient system of curing Ayurveda and getting well. Shri Singh assured students that efforts will be made to provide them stipend at par allopathic students. Shri Singh said that the glory of Ayurveda is returning because of no-side effect and ability to treat the incurable diseases. Minister Shri Singh said that private Ayurveda practitioners should not use allopathic system and should become expert in their field and cure patients.

Principal Secretary, Smt Shikha Dubey said that four-day free Ksharsutra medical camp is being organised from March 1 in the institute. Patients of other states and state are getting treatment in the camp. Ksharsutra medical method has ability to cure piles and 'bhagandar' like diseases from the roots.

Principal of the college Dr Umesh Shukla informed that training will be imparted to students on Ksharsutra and surgery process. This year, 1.13 lakh patients took benefit of OPD in the institute. Ninety five percent bed of institute is occapied by patients. The institute has been recognised for Panchkarma medical practice and this year 1.12 lakh patients took its benefit. Building of research institute has been constructed by spending Rs three crore.
