Orders have been issued to the health
workers posted in the government hospitals for wearing uniform invariably.
Doctors have also been told to wear aprons during the duty hours. Orders
have been issued to this effect to all the Chief Medical and Health Officers
and Hospital Superintendents on the instruction of Minister for Public
Health, Family Welfare, Medical Education and AYUSH Shri Anup Mishra.
Public Health Minister
Shri Mishra had noticed during the review of health services and programmes
that work is hampered due to non-identification of health staff at
government hospitals. Though uniforms for ANMs, staff nurse and class IV
employees are fixed, yet they are complying with the rule strictly. Now, all
the CMHOs and Hospital Superintendents have been instructed to ensure
wearing of uniform by the health staff strictly. Disciplinary action should
be taken against those who do not comply with these instructions. On the
instructions of the Health Minister, the field health workers have also been
told to use the generators first for maintaining cold chain and in blood
bank and emergency cases. The health officers have also been told to
undertake physical verification of their respective health institutions
thrice a year in the months of April, July and October while the health
institutions will be physically verified twice a year by outside health
officers. Verification of stock register balance, issue register, expenses
register, case papers and cross verification of entries of medicines will be
done invariably. The information about the physical verification on the
basis of stipulated rotation should be sent to divisional joint director
within seven days. |
