Chief
Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has appealed to the people of the state
to help the people suffering from serious diseases to avail benefits of the
free medical treatment camps. He said that these camps are being organized
in all the district head quarters. Medical treatment will be provided by the
renowned doctors of the country besides state. Entire medical expenses will
be borne by the state government. Medical treatment for heart, T.B., cancer
including 20 other diseases under the Jila Bimari Sahayta Yona and medical
treatment related to child heart, hearing impaired, vision impaired diseases
will be provided.

Shri Chouhan further mentioned that the state government is committed to
provide free medical treatment facilities to the poor. Therefore, special
camps are being organized in every district to provide medical treatment to
the citizens for serious, incurable and complicated diseases. Beside
departmental doctors, renowned doctors of the private sector will provide
treatment in theses camps. Specialists have also given their consent to
render their services in the camps.
Specialist
doctors will examine the patient in these camps and the necessary amount for
the treatment will be approved by the state government on the spot. Shri
Chouhan has appealed to the people to inform others in the villages of their
area and encourage people to visit the camps. This encouragement can give
the gift of health to the suffering persons and children. In order to
provide health facilities to common man of remote areas, camps have been
organized earlier at block level before the district level. People suffering
from serious diseases have been identified at primary level. Under this 42
thousand 200 persons suffering from serious diseases have been identified
including 11 thousand 500 children below 18 years of age.
Treatment
will be provided for Serious Diseases
Complete
treatment for all the diseases will be provided which are included under the
State Diseases Help Scheme like cancer surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy,
renal surgery and renal transplantation, hip joint replacement, knee
replacement, head injury (where operation is needed), spinal surgery,
retinal detachment, complications after delivery, heart surgery, breast
disease surgery, brain surgery, neuro surgery, M.D.R., pacemaker vascular
surgery, congenital malformation, apolostic
anemia,
burn and post burn contracture, chronic renal disease and sterility.
Similarly, under the National Child health Programme, the identified
diseases like neural tube defects, down syndrome, cleft lip and
palatal/cleft palate alon, teliphase (club foot), developmental displesia of
the hip, cataract since birth, deafness since birth, heart diseases since
birth, retinopathy of pre maturity and child heart treatment, child hearing
diseases and other diseases.

Chhatarpur, Chhindwara, Umaria, Indore, Guna and Mandsaur on February 01,
Raisen, Tikamgarh, Anuppur, Alirajpur, Datia and Ratlam on February 07,
Betul, Dindori, Burhanpur and Ashoknagar on February 13, Vidisha, Damoh,
