Chief Election Commissioner of India Election Commission Shri
O.P. Rawat, Commissioner, Shri Sunil Arora and Shri Ashok Lavasa reviewed
the preparations for the assembly elections -2018 in Indore, Ujjain and
Narmadapuram divisions in Indore today. The Commission gave instructions to
conduct free, fair, peaceful and transparent elections.
Deputy
Commissioner of Elections Dr. Sandeep Saxena, Mr. Sudip Jain and Mr.
Chandrabhan Kumar, Director General Mr. Dilip Sharma and Mr. Dhirendra Ojha,
Principal Secretary Mr. Anuj Jaipuria and Chief Electoral Officer of the
State Shri V.L. Kantarao also attended the meeting.
The
Election Commission has reviewed the fundamental facilities available in
electoral rolls and polling stations, EVMs and VVPates, sweep campaigns and
various training, election expenditure monitoring, implementation and
compliance of Model Code of Conduct, law and order and security
arrangements.
Chief
Election Commissioner Mr. Rawat, Commissioner, Mr. Arora and Mr. Lavasa also
reviewed the model of Model polling station being constructed in Indore
district after the meeting.
One million signatures in a day
In order
to make voters aware of the voters in Indore district, the campaign of
signing 10 lakh signatures in a day was signed by Chief Election
Commissioner of India Election Commission Mr. O. P. Rawat, Commissioner
Arora and Mr. Ashok Lavasa also signed .
Mobile
App and Coffee Table Book of sweep activities was also released by the
Commission in the meeting. |
